Ringhini Torrani Motori (RTM)

RTM is derived from the names of technician Franco Ringhini and engineer Roberto Torrani, and M for Motori. Franco Ringhini had previously enjoyed success in racing motorcycle development at Morbidelli. In the mid-1970s, Ringhini had already made a name for himself with his own 50cc racing machines. Two RTM 250 GP motorcycles were produced between 1984 and 1986. These machines were used by riders Gastone Grassetti (1984), Oscar La Ferla (1985), and Andrea Degli (1986) in the Italian Championship. Four-cylinder racing motorcycles were also developed for the 350cc and 500cc Grand Prix classes. The RTM 350 was raced by Carlo Perugini. An RTM 500 GP even competed in the Italian 500cc GP Championship in the 1990s. The RTM 500 uses an RG500 Gamma street engine.
